Here's how the process works:
1. Signup and take the interactive course and receive an online completion certificate

2. Bring your certificate to an AHA skills center to complete a short hands-on skills evaluation.

3. Receive an offical BLS for Healthcare Provider wallet card.

Requirements and Additional Information:
This course covers everything but the hands-on practical components, which is an extra cost (usually $15-40, depending on the instructor). For the online course, there are 12 mandatory checkpoints that must be successfully completed before you are allowed to access the final exam.
Once you have achieved a passing score of 84% on the final exam, you will be able to print your certificate and then schedule a skills evaluation with an American Heart Association® BLS Instructor. You have 2 tries to pass the final exam.

You can study and review at your own pace, when you have time. You don't have to complete this course all at once. Finish a little at a time. Once you're done, you will need to complete the skills evaluation at a training center within 60 days.
